Santiago Gigola is an experienced Consulting Economic Geologist specializing in the geology and exploration of Porphyry Copper and Epithermal precious metal deposits. His field experience in these two deposit types provide him with a special combination of abilities which are particularly suited for the exploration of porphyry copper deposits under lithocaps. His approach focuses on pragmatic field and core observations combined with a comprehensive understanding of the different (evolving) mineral deposit models. He started his career with RTX in Argentina in 1995 and since 2009 has dedicated 100% to consulting, working for 25 different mineral exploration companies in a variety of countries including many in South America and some in North America, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the SW Pacific. Santiago graduated in Argentina and has an MSc in Mineral Exploration completed at Queen’s University (Ontario) under a RTX bursary. His passion for exploration and project evaluation/has contributed to the discovery of porphyry copper and precious metal deposits
